Imagine how much more our children could thrive if the goal of school wasn’t compliance, but curiosity. Imagine if we gave them room to grow, explore, and learn through experience rather than lectures, worksheets, and endless tests.

School, Chaos, and More
Wow, it’s been a few weeks since I last posted on here. So sorry for the short hiatus. We’ve had a lot going on here the last few weeks. The end of August, our oldest kid’s preschool teacher contacted us about a home visit before school started so she could get to know our kidsContinue reading “School, Chaos, and More”
Looking Back… I Never Could Have Imagined…
Seven years ago, I was in Mexico teaching kids English, exploring the country on the weekends and on vacations. I wasn’t dating and I had no dating prospects. What I mean by this, is it’s hard to feel adequate when all I see on mom groups is that as a stay at home mom I should be doing all the housework and childcare while my husbandContinue reading “You Are 110% Worthy”
Keeping Home
As a neurodivergent homemaker, something I have always struggled with is keeping a tidy home. I’m fairly good at picking up toys, and loading and running the dishwasher at the end of the day, but anything more time consuming or involving more steps seems to fall by the wayside. Some of my bigger struggles: sweepingContinue reading “Keeping Home”
Mental health is health
By Clarissa Enos Plagmann I have so many ideas for blog posts, some half-written, some only vaguely thought of, that I struggle knowing what to post each week. I was tossing around a few ideas and started writing a couple this week, but then I was sitting here thinking about an experience I had thisContinue reading “Mental health is health”
